All our educational services aim to challenge prejudices and stereotypes and to educate our tamariki and rangatahi to respect and welcome people from all cultures and communities. Our services promote equality and empower them to stand up against hate, racism, and discrimination, fostering positive engagement and participation so that they can actively work towards the change we want to see. The following services will be provided:
Workshops

A range of workshops for schools or specific youth groups on themes such as particular forms of prejudice, gender inequality, Islamophobia, etc.
School Assembly Speaking Sessions

These will be designed in consultation with schools to reflect themes such as diversity and inclusion, equality, and the importance of standing up against discrimination, bullying, and racism in schools.
Aroha Leaders

A mentoring program to empower youth to spread the message of love and kindness. Those who complete the program will become ‘Aroha Leaders’ and work towards changing mindsets in their schools and raising collective voices against racism, bullying, and discrimination to make a meaningful difference in their school community
Advocacy and Online Education

We will create digital resources for schools and provide online sessions throughout the year for school-aged children (ages 10-18) on important events in the diversity calendar, such as Race Relations Day, Anti-Bullying Week in NZ, Pink Shirt Day, International Women’s Day, and the commemoration of March 15th, etc.
